POSITIVITY ABOUNDS
At the FTMTA Show
Great crowds and an upbeat mood proved the order of each of the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show’s three days at Punchestown Racecourse.
“We’re extremely happy with how the show has been received, as illustrated by the fantastic crowds we attracted every day,” said FTMTA executive director Michael Farrelly.
“There was a great atmosphere throughout all of our exhibition areas and a palpable sense of positivity from exhibitors and visitors alike. There was a literal buzz in the air from early in the morning, all the way through to the gates closing each evening and it was very pleasing to have so many positive conversations with both first-time visitors along with some of those attending the show for the first time in several years.”
Mr Farrelly continued: “Based on the feedback of our exhibitors, they’ve been really enthused by the quality of conversation they’ve had with attendees who have an active and genuine interest in farm machinery. Scheduling the show for this time of year has also been well received - that’s been the overwhelming consensus offered by our visitors - so that has clearly vindicated our decision to move the show into a biennial slot in November.”
A huge collaborative effort had helped to deliver a successful, industry-focused event, said Michael Farrelly.

“You can’t run a show like this without the input of a lot of enthusiastic, hard-working people. FTMTA’s 20 Executive Council members put in a huge effort behind the scenes to make this year’s show possible in terms of mobilising the industry and getting the word out among the general public. And the show simply couldn’t have happened without the fantastic support of our 150-plus exhibitors, who demonstrated their trust in us as the industry’s representative body, by selling out our exhibit space.”
Michael Farrelly concluded: “And that trust has been repaid by the tremendous attendances we enjoyed each day at Punchestown, something we’re already looking to emulate and improve upon when the show returns in November 2026.”
