JCB announced on Thursday this week (September 4th 2025) a re-organisation of its agricultural machinery distribution in parts of England and Wales.
The company said these changes focus on the counties of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, and parts of Powys and Ceredigion, areas previously covered by Rea Valley Tractors. - who earlier in August alerted administrators.
JCB Agriculture MD John Smith said, “We are moving quickly to appoint new dealers for these strategically important counties in order to retain the first-class sales and service that our customers have come to expect. We expect the transition to be seamless given the expertise and professionalism of the dealers being appointed. We would also like to thank Rea Valley Tractors for supporting JCB customers for the past 18 years.”
From Thursday, September 4th, the following changes have taken effect:
Business news website TheBusinessDesk reported this week that RVT's owners have submitted another notice via law firm Eversheds Sutherland, signalling continued financial uncertainty for the group. Their article said, "The second NOI grants the group and its associated companies another 10-day window of protection from creditors as they explore restructuring options or a potential sale."
