STIHL UNVEILS NEW BATTERY SYSTEM

STIHL has unveiled its new ALLPRO battery system, that they describe as "a next-generation professional battery platform designed to deliver more power, faster charging and increased flexibility for forestry, landscaping and groundcare professionals."

The company says the system has been developed to support demanding day-to-day applications and represents a major step forward in their battery technology offering for professional users. In a statement the company said, "The new system opens up more opportunities for professionals to transition from petrol-powered equipment to battery alternatives, while remaining compatible with STIHL’s existing AP battery system, including more than 80 tools."

At the heart of the ALLPRO range, says the manufacturer, is a new generation of high-performance batteries engineered to provide increased power output, longer running times and significantly longer service life, while maintaining robust durability.

The system also introduces what the company describe as "ultra-fast charging capabilities." When paired with the appropriate STIHL mobile fast charger, they say batteries can be charged to 80 per cent capacity in nine minutes.

STIHL say this launch is part of their wider battery transformation strategy, designed to open up many fields of application where customers previously had to rely on combustion-powered equipment. They say they are continuing to invest heavily in battery innovation technology, with the intention to position itself as a leading provider of outdoor power equipment in the battery segment.

Paul Hicks, product manager at STIHL GB, said, “The launch of the ALLPRO battery system marks a significant milestone for STIHL and for our professional customers. ALLPRO has been developed to deliver the levels of power, durability and performance professionals demand, while also supporting the ongoing transition towards battery-powered equipment across forestry, arboriculture, landscaping and construction applications.

“By combining our experience in professional outdoor power equipment with decades of battery expertise, ALLPRO provides professionals with a system that can handle even the most demanding working environments.”

STIHL have also announced that their network of Approved Dealers across Great Britain will be fully trained in the new battery technology via online and nationwide face-to-face events over the coming weeks.

The company is hosting a nationwide roadshow giving its network the chance to connect with their experts and get hands on with ALLPRO ahead of its launch.

Running from late June through to mid-July, the roadshow will feature nine events across the country, led by STIHL’s Training and Commercial Solutions teams. These sessions, they say, are tailored for dealerships selling ALLPRO and AP machines.

In a statement, the company explained, "At the events, dealers will gain a clear understanding of ALLPRO, the benefits the technology brings, and how it strengthens STIHL’s battery and energy management offering. There will also be a full Commercial Solutions demo setup on site, with opportunities to try and compare a wide range of AP battery machines.

"The roadshow will offer dealers the chance to see how STIHL’s Commercial Solutions team can support them and the opportunity use ALLPRO in person ahead of its launch to end users." STIHL say they will be contacting dealers directly with more information in due course.
