Agricultural machinery manufacturer Strautmann, has announced a significant change in its distribution strategy for the United Kingdom, effective from February 1, 2026.
Moving forward, Strautmann will transition from working with Opico as their single, exclusive importer to supplying an independent dealer network directly from its headquarters in Germany.
The company says that by establishing a direct relationship with a dedicated dealer network, they can offer "enhanced support, quicker communication, and a more streamlined service for all product lines."
Bernhard Schoppman, head of export said, "This is a pivotal step for Strautmann in the UK. We are committed to providing the best possible products and support. Supplying directly allows us to forge stronger partnerships with our dealers and, ultimately, deliver a superior experience and closer relationship to our end-users."
The company have confirmed that the primary contact person for all UK distribution and dealer enquiries will be sales and aftersales specialist David Mein. They say David brings extensive experience in the agricultural machinery market and, crucially, a deep knowledge of Strautmann technology. David can be reached at or 07487 620776.
David Mein and the Strautmann team will be discussing this new strategy and the future of Strautmann products in the UK at the upcoming LAMMA Show (January 14-15, 2026) at the NEC, Birmingham.
