Service Dealer has launched the latest module of our free Dealer Toolkits - this time offering expert advice on protection from cyber crime.
The Toolkit is based on information from the West Midlands Police Cyber Crime unit - who at last year's Service Dealer Conference ran seminars offering our dealer delegates practical help and advice on how to stay safe in an increasingly dangerous and ever-changing, digital world.
Service Dealer owner, Duncan Murray-Clarke, said, "In the next module of our Toolkit, we explore methods made to scam you. Just how safe are you and how safe is your dealership?"
Duncan continued, "How do you know the email you've just received is genuine? Or maybe there are real people trying to scam you over the phone and steal elements of your personal data - all using the personal touch.
"All the material in this toolkit is genuine and taken from the cyber crime workshop run by Ian and James of the West Midlands Cyber Crime Unit."
The toolkit takes dealers through, in easily digestible sections, how to spot scams; security tips; the resources available to help; and methods for taking action.
