Dealership, Suffolk Agri Centre, based at Fen Road, Pakenham, Bury St Edmunds, has closed its doors and entered liquidation, after trading for more than 35 years.

Local news site, Suffolk News, said that liquidators, McTear Williams & Wood Ltd had been appointed on March 7th last week. A spokesperson for the liquidators is quoted, saying, "Suffolk Agri Centre Ltd closed its doors on February 19 and all 11 staff were made redundant on the same day after over 35 years of prior trading.

Hayley Watson and Andrew McTear of McTear Williams & Wood Ltd were appointed joint liquidators of the company on March 7 and are in the process of auctioning the company’s plant, machinery and stock in order to realise assets for the benefit of creditors.”

The dealership featured in Service Dealer in May 2019, when they started selling McCormick tractors once again following a gap, having previously supplied McCormick products from 2007 to 2013. The company also sold Amazone, Krone and McConnel products amongst other agricultural brands.

There is no mention of liquidation on Suffolk Agri's website or Facebook page - although the most recent comment posted, seemingly by a customer, reads, "Have you closed down? I have been phoning for days with no answer and the premises are padlocked. You have had my mower for repair for over 3 months and so a bit concerned I will never see it again."
