Video conference call with Service Dealer
INDUSTRY THINK TANK RECONVENES

Service Dealer held the latest of our video conference calls this week, convening once again manufacturers, suppliers, business support services and trade associations.

Taking place on the morning of Wednesday 15th April 2020, the session was attended by trade associations AEABAGMA and IAgrE - and senior representatives of the following companies:

  • Catalyst Computer Systems
  • FGM Claymore
  • EGO
  • Hayter / Toro
  • Husqvarna
  • Ibcos
  • Iseki
  • Kramp
  • Kress
  • Makita
  • Stiga
  • STIHL

You can read a summation of the conversation in the editor's blog today where it was emphasised once again just how vital an understanding of the furloughing system could prove to be for companies of all sizes.

Service Dealer owner Duncan Murray-Clarke said after the meeting, "Some great insight came out of the meeting this week and once again we would like to thank all the individuals who gave up their valuable to time to share their thoughts and experiences.

"It's becoming clear that the dealer network needs to continue adapting. The more traditional servicing dealers must keep their values and levels of service, but as a whole they need more of a digital presence and some degree of online purchasing (even if it's just for local delivery).

"It would seem that a blended approach, spanning the best of both worlds, is required."

This coming Wednesday, Service Dealer will be holding another video conference call session, welcoming a selection of dealership representatives to share their most recent experiences.
