Job Title: Business Development Manager
Territory: UK
Location: Hybrid working 
Package: c. 45K plus package depending on experience

An opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to join a highly reputable manufacturer and supplier of DIY, garden power equipment and outdoor products. This new position will focus on the development of new business opportunities through DIY national retailers, garden centres and e-commerce channels.

Who we're looking for:

  • The successful applicant must have an excellent proven business development track-record
  • Thorough understanding of channel management and brand management
  • Experience in dealing with Far East manufacturing companies would be an advantage
  • Demonstrate clear achievements with of successful development of key national accounts within the Retail / Wholesale sector
  • Knowledge and understanding of DIY/trade sector in the UK.
  • Passionate about success, able to demonstrate flair for recognizing new business opportunities and delivering sales growth through new creative ideas.
  • Clear leadership capability to handle all internal and external challenges
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to build effective customer relationships at different management levels

Experience and skills:

  • Industry experience in DIY/ home and garden sector
  • Degree level or other relevant qualifications
  • Excellent retailer sector knowledge and experience
  • Proven managerial or senior leadership skills
  • Strong Communicator
  • Team Player
